Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable full-time tutor to provide individualized or small group instruction in reading and/or math for elementary and secondary students. The tutor will assist students in improving their academic skills, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter, and boosting confidence through personalized learning strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted tutoring in reading and/or math based on students' needs
- Develop lesson plans and activities to reinforce skills
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and teachers regarding progress
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in teaching or tutoring reading and/or math at the elementary or secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Patience and enthusiasm for helping students succeed
Schedule:
- Full-time, flexible hours based on student needs
