Description

 

King William County Public Schools is in need of a car driver to transport students to and from school, Monday-Friday. This is a part-time postion and does not include benefits.

 

Qualifications

  1. Employee must have a valid driver's license issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
  2. Must be 21 years of age or older, with a clean driving record.
  3. Must submit to a background screening (on-site).
  4. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Physical Activities

 

Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities; sitting for extended periods of time, lifting (assisted and unassisted), transporting student(s) as required. Performs other duties required for meeting the physical needs of student(s).

                                      

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

 

Strong communication skills (written and verbal); ability to support and/or implement behavioral strategies as required; ability to work with parents/guardians and staff members in a professional manner. 


Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Demonstrate professionalism through prompt and regular attendance as well as professional attire.
  2. Compile, maintain and submit all required records pertaining to the safe operation of county vehicles.
  3. Ensure student safety through proper securing of student(s) during transport.
  4. Communicate concerns regarding behavior concerns in a timely manner.
